Technical terms: pointer

As with "glass", this is a term that pretty much everyone knows. The grandpas therefore want to go into a little more detail. In the picture, you can see the blue hands of the minimalistic Julia as an example.

clock hands

Like most Opis watches, the hands are made of stamped stainless steel. You got the blue color by electroplating. As a result, the color is evenly distributed without noses and gradients.

The hands are used as the penultimate production step (before the glass is pressed in from the outside). First the hour hand, then the minute hand and, if available, the second hand. Rings with decreasing diameters are pushed onto the cylinders, which then rotate at the corresponding speed. The Opis usually set their hands at the 12 o'clock position so that they are perfectly aligned with each other.
