Maple wood hardly needs an explanation. The beige wood of our watches even comes from the country with the maple leaf in the flag: Oh, Canada...

In order not to make this post completely boring, here is Opi's top 3 information about maple trees:

1) The largest trees are up to 50 meters high (although the corresponding tree species does not exist in Canada, but in Oregon in the USA, namely the Big Leaf Maple)
2) Maple is a tonewood. That means it's great for musical instruments like violin, cello or even parts of guitars. (And the bracelet of the watches Tristan & Isolde also works as a temporary rattle...)
3) Maple syrup isn't Grandpa's favorite maple-based liquid. That would be the Tennessee Whiskey.
